Whyyyyy am I in “back to the grind” mode today despite being RETIRED?
Yes, I know it’s some combination of “Partner still works and there are things I do in the morning to assist her getting ready” and “I do still have work to do and it’s time to get back to it” and “The world around me is moving on from holiday break today and there are things out in the world that need doing”, but I am ORNERY about it.

I'm definitely not grinding these days, but there are a number of routine activities that I typically enjoy, and which serve me well. So, I'm happy to be returning to those routines after a couple of weeks of quiet time. -
