It's a cozy -16 today, so I walked to the farmers' market to buy fixings for a couple of weeks' worth of Greek salads from a local greenhouse gardener. I also pulled a locally smoked ham hock out of the freezer to fill the #InstantPot with split pea soup. Our brutal cold was the last day and a half. Still, I'm trying to avoid driving and spending this week, as much as possible.

@EllenInEdmonton Brisk!! Split pea soup is a great choice, and the Greek salads sound delightful. We have some spinach in the fridge that we really need to eat so we might do some dinosaur time alongside the chili.

I'm curious about what dinosaur time consists of! The salad was SO good! And the soup has been loaded into the #InstantPot to become supper. It was one of the meals that my mom often made on bad-weather days.
