If you know what show specifically that you want you can find it. Otherwise you are almost completely at the mercy of the algorithm, and you watch what gets recommended to you. It looks like choice. But it's not really much choice. At least not on your side.

@DarkestKale Netflix's algo has devolved to the ridiculous. "Here are shows we think you will like because you watched them and said you liked them." Ummm, yeah? Thanks?

@commonst one of the worst things, for me, is that it just... won't' show me a list.

Like, show me all your cartoons? No? why the fuck not?

@DarkestKale fair. That would be a useful thing to do.

D+ was slop like that until pretty recently, when they actually lined up their k-content to show me. I'm never going back to Bezos, so what Prime produces doesn't really matter to me. Plenty of content elsewhere. I have to remember to cancel my Kocowa subscription after I finish watching The Korea-Khitan War. Sadly, there's lots of war in it, as advertised, but the human stories are quite interesting.

@EllenInEdmonton we have Netflix and Viki atm. I have had Kocowa in the past and liked it. I think I woukd pay for it before Prime. I have some issues with Disney also, so avoid them.

I don't pay for Disney, but I have access, so I use it from time to time. Kocowa has some pretty great shows, but they aren't the style that I want to watch all of the time. Viki/Netflix have those shows.

@commonst @EllenInEdmonton FWIW, for me CBC Gem is well with its modest monthly price.

Since I don't currently watch anything that isn't made in Korea, I'm not tempted at the moment. That may well shift in the future.
