When I was 17, I had a Royal Bank account, my military pay went directly in and usually 3 days before the end of the month. They were unkind to me, so I left them. But I have their VISA but no other RBC account . I don't do online banking or apps.There was no internet. I still wrote cheques & had a bankbook. I'm OK doing everything on an ATM machine but we don't have any banks or ATMs. I moved in May 2025, and just changed my mailing address today, through threats and hours of my time. I keep getting a virtual assistant telling me to use APP
Back when I got my bills, they always included an envelope for the cheque payment and on the flap, a change of address. They don't send that anymore. I refuse to trust my banking to apps and internet, when every day it's another breach and no banker can explain the encryption they promise

It's not about how easy, or how simple, it's about the customer, but AI assistants lack any human compassion and the agents are no better, if you can get them. I'm just changing my address, I try an hour on hold, hang up, try a different day, a different way, a new number off their webpage to try..

you can do all your banking through the app, or your online RBC account, then it hangs upFive tries, one report to the Banking Ombudsman while on my fourth HOLD, and working my way to reviews and Better Business Bureau complaints
Royal Banks is just wasting my time. They don't want to do their own jobs.
If I was near a bank, I'd flip to CIBC Visa because RBC can't get it right./FIN /OffRant
