Once upon a time in a capitalism far far away there were businesses where the owners cared about the business and the products it made or services it provided and there was more to being in business than just profit maximization.

I remember that time where the customer came first. The 1% turned it into profits come first, along with shrinkflation, dilution of products, credit, proprietary products, licensing not ownership, built in obsolescence, loyalty programs.
