This is a survey all #Discord users need to fill out. Discord wants to know if we want AI to run the app. It'd be using data from pictures, conversations, voice notes, live streams, art, 'learning' from us in the app if they don't get strong enough pushback.

Let them know how you feel before they ruin that app for everyone as well.

This might have been the single most easily done survey I've ever partaken in. "NO, fuck off!" to everything AI. Done in 1 minute.

(N.B.: I've deleted my Discord account years back, when D gleefully embraced AI and wouldn't budge. So, IDGAF if they sink deeper into the slop. Voicing my belief still feels good)

@m @noodlemaz As it’s a qualtrix survey and qualtrix is not cheap I’m fairly sure it is authentic.

Thanks, filled it out. Probably very different to most of you here. Would like to see AI features and a simple setting „I don’t want AI and don’t want to contribute to training“ for those of you who don’t see value.

Unfortunately having an off switch so features aren't available doesn't safeguard anyone's photos, chats, etc from scraping and being added to training data. If the features are there, everyone's privacy is broken.

So while I appreciate the concession, it's still not practical.

@noodlemaz @m Yes, the question is whether they will make it opt-in or opt-out (if you want to enjoy the features you should be okay with giving it your content for training, if not, then of course not )
