    @cbarbermd

    Others have good points, but this hit me hard

    It sounded like our Churchill:

    We shall fight on the beaches.
    We shall fight on the landing grounds.
    We shall fight in the fields and in the streets.
    We shall fight in the hills.
    We shall never surrender.

      For however long Milei's government lasts, I guess they could try? However it's darkly hilarious to think of these racists having to live among the relatives and friends and, in general, compatriots of those they tortured. Good luck with that!

        @MaryAustinBooks @cbarbermd Exactly, that is an entertaining thought. And it is amusing to imagine them to have to suffer from listening and speaking Spanish daily"

          In all seriousness, I have thought about WTF we are going to do with these people and I really have no idea. Obviously they should be punished for their crimes, but let's say we do what they did with Nazi concentration camp guards: charge them as accessories to murder. They get several years in prison each. But then what? We can't do what Ukraine did in 2014 and use Russia as they toilet for our traitors. WTF are we doing to do?

            There are already states (Washington and California, that I know of) passing laws saying that no former ICE agent can work in their state police. Who is going to hire these people?

            I wonder sometimes how many of them would take an off ramp now if they got a different job offer. And that would be one fast and nonviolent way to end this, which would be great. But who wants them, and what can they do?

            No answers here.

              Maybe they could start by looking at the volunteer Nazis - the ones with ICE uniforms.

                I'd threaten to sentence them with 10 years in a cotton plantations, serving the black owners.

                  Making them pick fruit in the fields where they kidnapped people is hilarious in principle, but to be serious, it actually is skilled work. Farms don't want useless asshat racists either. I know we're joking, imagining ironic fates for them, but in reality nobody wants these people. One reason food prices are up so much in the US is there aren't opportunities in agriculture for useless bigots who would theoretically take those jobs.

                      @cbarbermd

                      Sir, all doo-doo respect.

                      They are ACTUAL Nazis, no fuckin' around, and have been for 80 years.
                      They were set-loose to be brownshirt Nazi thugs by the Head Real Nazi in the White House where the dummy-in-cheat has a sign that sez 'The Nukes Launch Here, Pay Me' on his otherwise empty desk.

                      Raise the level of your fury and put the right kind of fear into people, or all of you will just forgive them a-fucking-gain. Those that see the other side.

                      They're wannabe men.

                      No matter if he gets his words wrong. It is good to see people in positions of responsibility actually use the word and put these murders in historical context.

                      Now, if only they had felt as strongly about the non-white people that get murdered by thugs in uniform.
