I wonder if the next step of development of self-checkout units would be to include an #LLM projection of a cashier generated to a customer’s liking. People will be coming to a store just to spend time with their LLM-generated friends and, probably, lovers – a new level of brand loyalty. I bet we’ll have that sooner than shelf-stocking robots, and I won’t be bothered anymore by ‘helpless idiots’ who don’t want to read on-screen instructions and press buttons.
