in high school I hacked up a heuristic-based antispam system for my webpage's comment section. it's static HTML, and it can be circumvented if you're a really mean person. i've had a few people try and they always fail after first message; regular viagra-selling bots don't even get this far

but I do wonder how this happened, it sounds sniped away from the previous owners, but that's making assumptions about state of the site and the previous owners, like I don't know if they just disappeared or decided to drop paying for the domain or whatever, it's hard to make any informed calls about this right now honestly
