What gives?? Is it another form of retaliation??

@ram I'm in the USA and like others in your replies I have not hit a paywall. I'm using an ad blocker but not a VPN.
On my Mac I do see a message at the bottom of the page which says "BBC subscribers get unlimited access for less than $1/week" followed by a subscribe button.
But I ignored that and clicked around to a number of articles, no problem.
I wonder why you're seeing the paywall and we are not.
(And if they do put up a paywall I'd expect them to exclude users in the UK who already pay a license fee.)

@jeridansky You have probably given me a clue… I hit the paywall on my phone and my personal Mac. Just to confirm, I checked my work laptop and found that I was able to access the articles. Its probably something to do with my region settings - I prefer the language/region settings to be UK English (because I prefer “colour” instead of “color” and DD/MM/YY still) and somehow the website is confused(I can’t think of any other setting that could be relevant) Anyway thanks for confirming this for me.
