In 1933, Nazis burned the contents of the Institute for Sexual Science. Women's & gender studies are under attack today. But knowledge is tricky to control. When research is defunded & classes canceled, "people find other ways to share & make new knowledge."https://www.insidehighered.com/news/faculty-issues/academic-freedom/2026/02/06/can-embattled-womens-and-gender-studies-programs

@amydiehl are there any efforts in this research community to have either federated or distributed datasets? It's hard for fascists to erase research and knowledge if there are 25 remote public copies all seeding each other, as well as an unknown number of private data preservers. Torrent datasets maybe?
Either way, solidarity with the folks doing this valuable research. I hope #Canada can do its part to serve as a lifeboat in any way necessary.
