@mike Total agree. He had no business even getting that shot off let alone picking the corner, kudos to him for making it happen!

I am more astounded at the Suzuki tip. That puck was nowhere near the net, for him to deflect it from high and away down to the five hole was something else. I’m not sure what the skill:luck ratio should be on that one, I’d open at 50:50…

I think it was either the D takes a penalty, or allows him the low-percentage shot and trusts the goalie with it.

I wouldn't want to be on the PK there, either, so I think you can't fault them for not being more aggressive.

That bad-angle back-hand shot, though...
