My parents are in the market for an emotional support cat. My dad texted me tonight to tell me it was a good day cat scouting. He went to the local shelter and they let him know to come back later because they have an 8 year old orange boy that's about to be returned because he is too needy and wants to be with people. Paws crossed for all of them!

@nikkid ok - if that doesn’t worth out and if they are local I might have a lead on a cat or two that’s got an owner violently allergic

My parents picked up the "needy" cat today. He adjusted after 2 hours, is a lap cat just like they wanted, and appears to own the place now.
