@Taweret I was well into my 30s before I was sure that Eureeka's Castle was a real show.

@Taweret And there's various comedy sketches I half remember that I'll never know where they were from.
Sesame Street? Square One? Some British cartoon shown only once on American TV?

@Taweret Eureeka's Castle isn't even that strange, but it's so Muppet-Like that I couldn't remember it clearly as a separate thing.
Looking it up, I see it was created by R. L. Stine. Yeah, that seems about right.

@Taweret Also Kidd Video lived deep in the back of my mind for decades until the modern internet managed to piece together some episodes and now I own an album of all the original songs from it because sometimes eBay is kind of magic.

@Taweret But seriously, there was show we would watch in first grade (1974-75) about a bunch kids who sang about the four food groups and some nutty teacher who was the butt of all their jokes. Anyone remember that?

For a long time, I couldn't find "UFO" (1971?), so I began to wonder if it was a confabulation. But I did catch up with it again in the 2000s.
