You do you, but I wash mine.
Many of them are older than I am.

@frogglin Ha I was just saying our green towels are pushing 20 years old and are still in great condition. Throwing towels out every 3 months would be appalling from an environmental standpoint - all that water and energy wasted in making them.

@timrichards @frogglin Oh FFS, throwing them away?! Ridic.

@timrichards And they're simply not cheap.
I see stuff like that all the time.
New bedsheets every 12 months apparently.
Also something I wash, because I'm old fashioned like that.
They get ditched with they get too ripped to be comfortable, and not a moment before

@frogglin There's a weird consumerist vibe to all this, as if they've invented it just to give you an excuse to buy more stuff.

@timrichards I'm the kind of person who, if a towel does wear too thin, will just cut it up and use it for cleaning cloths.
My grandmother lived through the depression, passed a lot of this stuff on to Mum and apart from the "You can get three cups of tea out of one teabag" thing, we carry it on.
Need to get Make Do and Mend back on the agenda I think.

"No, I don't wash the towel; the towel washes me. Who washes a towel?"
"What am I going to do? Wash the shower next? Wash a bar of soap? You got to think here, pal."
