It's so bizarre that homes are seen as an investment and not your own place. Trying to keep it plain and boring so you can sell it later is essentially just renting it from a hypothetical future owner. If I do ever end up owning a home, which I dream of but very likely never will, I want to customize the fuck out of it, paint it pink, make it stand out and be a comfy cozy home for myself and my S/Os

@ActuallyAubrey@void.lgbt like in the 1970s, there was actually an idea that the concept of "being a landlord" would go out of fashion because there just was no point in being the middleman because housing was considered commodity
