first outdoor run of the season in the books!!

first outdoor run of the season in the books!! it was puddly and icy and not very fast. I run-waddled a lot so as not to faceplant.
but!! my new pair of waterproof winter running shoes (my first ever) held up really well. no cold or wet feet at all. they're Saucony Peregrine Ice+ 3's, basically the winter model of trail running shoes I've loved in the past.
and!! last year I only did my first outdoor run on Feb 23, so I'll just go ahead and call that a win

@robyn Good for you! All weather running shoes can help a lot. My main running problem right now is the cleats / no cleats dilemma! Or, even worse, putting them on and taking them off repeatedly.

@AnastasiaE @robyn
That decision-making about cleats is painful!! The worst ice I'm encountering now is in my building's parking lot, but I can't usually force myself to put them on and take them off for such a short walk. I paid the price on Tuesday, when I had a hard fall walking around a car.
Well done on the winter run and getting the shoes right. All of the runners I saw today were in shorts and short sleeves. It's lovely weather to be active in!
