in this framework, i would then diagnose what is happening as the onset of a manic psychosis: how it makes the ones in charge feel (which includes neither you or me, but most upper management all over the world).
it makes them feel like they are winning. it is a dopamine rush that requires ignoring the facts to sustain itself.

But it's not everybody. There are still people like you and me who are willing to call out the abominable status quo and refusing to accept it as "just the way things are these days".
Yet, we get framed as the ones who are "backwards" and "refusing to embrace progress"
But when "progress" in 2026 means "making things more profitable by making them worse" more than ever before, I'm proud to be "backwards".
This is the age of half-ass air plane designs which trade reliability for profit and quite literally kill people.
And now they expect us to embrace "AI" which is basically a ridiculously expensive (resource wise) machine which is designed to "half-ass" just about everything.
