As usual Reform are trying to blame others (this time claiming it was their printer who failed to include the legally required notice of funding), but we can be confident there's dodginess more to come.

@ChrisMayLA6 Well, it's true that a competent and experienced printer of election material will query artwork that doesn't contain the imprint, but that's not an excuse for failing to include the imprint in the first place.

@ChrisMayLA6 Of course thy did! Simple oversight, Guv! Just like those dodgy finances of Farage's. All someone else's fault. A pathetic echo of the same excuses from the other side of the Atlantic ("Just an overzealous staffer...") Pull the other one, it has bells on it!

@ChrisMayLA6 Normally printing firms will ask their customers to approve a final proof before they do any actual printing.

If they have a record of this then I wonder if they might have a case for defamation or something?

@ChrisMayLA6 even in the unlikely event it was the printer’s error, that’s irrelevant. Conform UK’s election agent is legally responsible for compliance

But of course, it was as likely deliberate as not. Their “concerned neighbour” letter will have landed with some voters as genuine, rather than election literature and when they are fined or reprimanded, they can play the victim and claim they’re being silenced by the metropolitan elite

@ChrisMayLA6 Interestingly it seems that the printing company has taken responsibility for the omission.

@ChrisMayLA6 How many times can Reform Ltd and Farage ignore or blatantly break the laws and rules before their licence to operate as a political party or Limited Company will be suspended. Or can they face legal action for regular law-breaking? If not, why not?

Its a good Q.; you might think the Companies House would take an interest, but they are really only concerned with accounting practices.... as far as repeated illegal acts, I'm not so sure other than the costs of fines there's much else that can be done to a firm - and even that would require a willingness to prosecute which would seem to be lacking

I think printers printing election material know well-enough what is required, and where advice might be sought.

                                  Is the printer linked?

Less than a week into the Gorton & Denton buy-election campaign & Reform UIK Ltd (the business masquerading as a political party) are being investigated by the police for failing to disclose that a letter sent to voters was paid for by Reform.

As usual Reform are trying to blame others (this time claiming it was their printer who failed to include the legally required notice of funding), but we can be confident there's dodginess more to come.

@ChrisMayLA6 In Caerphilly, they included the disclaimer, but someone ineligible outside the constituency wrote the letter. They tried to brush that off.
Now, in Gorton, it’s blame the printer and try to brush that off again.

                                    - The Electoral Commission need to start fining parties the maximum possible for a first offence.

                                    - I don’t believe this letter was written by whoever they claim; compare it to the other letters and doorstep the supposed author until some truth comes out.

                                          Classic Trump

@Simon318ppm @ChrisMayLA6 Also the electorial commission is another UK pointless "ewww naughty boy, slap on wrist" body in real terms.
