    As the Tory Party subsides (perhaps not quietly) into (temporary?) obscurity, Andy Burge has been doing the maths on the traditional claim that the Tories are the party of economic competence.

    Looking at:
    Inflation;
    Public Debt;
    Unemployment;
    Average salaries;
    House prices & rents; and
    Tax receipts.

    He demolishes the argument the Tories were competent; but of course they were competent at one thing, clearly: increasing the wealth of the wealthiest!
