@Annacats since our cat found us, she’s 100% indoor cat and we don’t have mice, so can’t say about that, but all the insects she finds are a source of entertainment usually, not something to hunt. Though on a couple of occasions when swifts accidentally flied into a room our cat hunted them wildly and fiercely (and actually caught, we had to take a bird once directly from her paws, and she was cross with us for that for a few days after).
