@mpjgregoireI saw the At Issue panel last night. They spoke of both the NDP and the CPC, painting a grim picture for each. Poilievre is too extreme for voters on one end and Lewis is too extreme for voters on the other end, in their opinion. I dunno. Right now, people don't want an election and feel trust in Carney to deal with Trump. Thus, most people would be fine with Carney getting a majority via floor crossing because they desire some form of stability right now. However, as time moves on, especially if people's living conditions don't substantially improve, the cost of living issues that both Poilievre and Lewis (in their own respective ways) each address will gain more notice by the public at large. And helping both would be the support of a strong core of devoted followers (as represented by Poilievre's 87% approval at convention and as represented by Lewis' record breaking fundraising numbers --> record breaking for the NDP).
