@peggycollins When I lived in CO, I saw more Mountain Chickadees than any other, though Black-capped were around. I once went into an art gallery and someone had painted a Black-capped, but the gallery mis-named it Mountain Chickadee. I pointed it out to the gallery owner and she was angry at ME and argued it WAS a Mountain Chickadee. I started to explain the physical difference and she just walked away in a huff. Oh well!
