@TarkabarkaHolgy Wonder if you've ever read "The Gate To Womens Country" by Sherry S. Tepper. It's kind of future sci-fi, but the matriarchal society has a retelling of the seige of Troy story from the female characters' perspective as it's primary culture myth, pretty good read.
