For me it's "UTF-8 everywhere or GTFO".We can't continue with design assumptions from the 1970s about what "acceptable" characters are in text.Will it increase inclusivity? I don't know. I hope so.Will there be security issues? I doubt it will be worse than it is now.Will it surface some bugs? I think so. And that's a good thing.
