@zen they haven't had any ties to russia for years as far as I can tell, and even initially it was an international effort, which is why the original device has flipper written on it in japanese and english toothat said, I already have a kode dot incoming so while the flipper one looks sleek I'm going to wait and see what it turns out to actually be like
