@tml I guess I’m just not a reservation type person. Never make them anywhere except when absolutely necessary. I rather travel FR and IT in regional trains only before I make a reservation. I love being able to decide or change my mind on a wim. Usually always find a place to sit and if not, that’s the game I guess

@MartinJBreen There's a hidden "calendar trick": many European night trains release their booking slots exactly 6 months in advance, so if you miss that window, popular sleeper compartments vanish instantly.
