@akkana Once I convinced a group of camping-fearful friends that sleeping on a "floating campsite" on Lake Oroville would be safe. I was first awake in the morning and that a ginormous black thunderhead was an hour away. I woke everyone up and told them that we had half an hour to get to shore. Sure enough, a violent hail and lightning storm let loose. So much for introducing them to camping.
