Everything DHS has been doing and saying for the past week is focused around one goal: generating excuses.
They’re trying to give Senators an excuse to fund them, to give CEOs an excuse to wash their hands of responsibility, to give wavering Republicans an excuse to keep believing their BS, to give Minneapolis an excuse to let our guard down.
They’re trying to give everyone an excuse to believe it’s all OK now.
It is not OK now. Here in MSP, it is very much not OK.

@inthehands Regarding body cameras. Look at the product of them. Does the footage look more or less dramatic and confusing than cell phone video? Would a bodycam bumping a vehicle as the shooter leans onto the hood so the first bullet goes through the front window be better for their narrative? AI or not that's my lesson from the second shooters video released.

Is that ICE only, or also CBP?@inthehands I think that was both. Read it in a news story early in the “surge,” and couldn’t find it again when I went looking recently to see if there were other details I had forgotten.
