@FediFollows I hope the backfilling gets implemented soon, it's important for new people as they must likely won't understand the problem immediately.
At least some mastodon clients already fixed it in their own way already

@FediFollows nice ones! For the back filing I think it would also be nice to fetch the last 3 to 10 posts when looking up an account and then state "to see more posts follow this account". Don't know how much resources that would cause though

Yup, anything to keep it from looking blank and inactive
Perhaps they could at least have a message saying "Follow this account to show its latest posts" if it detects that the profile is blank? That wouldn't use resources at all.
