What would you do if, while you were in handcuffs inside an ICE vehicle being driven to a detention center, one of the agents in the SUV had a seizure?

Two women in that situation recognized the seizure, then asked the driver to pull over and uncuff them so they could deliver first aid.

    After EMS services arrived --

-- the women were placed back in handcuffs and taken to the local detention center.

"I was hit so hard with the fact that this man would not do this for me"

I'm very conflicted in how I think I should react in a similar situation.

If I would feel the urge to do anything, I would tell those bastards to call 911 and let them soort it out.
I've got my own horrifying unexpected problem at that point.

@ricardoharvin @jeneralist I have a very strong opinion that I don't let a bad person make me become a bad person.

But then I read stuff like this... Thinking a bit longer, ice had no choice but taking them to detention anyways. Because they chose to be ice and acab.

It is a very personal question: do I help, even if I know this will not make my situation any better right now? I think our actions cause ripples. What are the ripples I want to send out now?

@sibylle @ricardoharvin @jeneralist the scene makes me think of:
β€œOnce a reporter asked him, "Do you really think you are going to change the policies of this country by standing out here alone at night in front of the White House with a candle?" A.J. Muste replied softly: "Oh I don't do this to change the country. I do this so the country won't change me.”

@sibylle @jeneralist That's my struggle. Do I act in a way that's in accordance with how I want to be, or do I let the side of me filled with rage hold sway?

I would get great satisfaction from, and be deeply disappointed in myself, letting someone who represents evil to me suffer or die without taking action.

I'm trying to be a better person, but know and understand all of myself quite well and understand I would definitely hesitate before deciding.

@ricardoharvin @jeneralist I know both kind of people.
Those who would gain energy for their whole life and the upcoming events by letting him dye in misery. They would regret later if they helped.

And other people who would struggle later if they had just let him dye.

I don't think one or the other is a bad person given the situation.

@sibylle @jeneralist I don't know which of those I am, hence my internal conflict.

Hopefully it's a dilemma that remains theoretical for me.
