      @marcioaleks Important detail: most probably you won't get this at home unless you buy whole-grain rice, because most comercial rice sold is processed and the germinal part is separated from the starch reservoir.

              That substrate looks like some sort of growing medium like dirt or mulch. If it is then it could have small amounts of algae spores dormant inside, or it could have come from the rice itself, or perhaps this is river/pond/lake water. We also cannot discount the possibility of intentional introduction.
