*** Encounter (2018) ***
(Viki 16 1:09 eps)[!!CW!! Synopsis & non-spoilery review.]
A politician & his social-climbing wife sold their daughter into marriage for campaign funds. After her divorce, she immerses herself in work. On a trip to Cuba, during a spate of bad luck, she meets a young Korean man with an old soul & a fondness for poetry & photography. As fate would have it, this chance meeting wouldn't be their only encounter.
The *best* noona drama. Gorgeous lighting, gorgeous actors with fabulous chemistry. Touching & appropriate OST. Beautiful writing with heart-throbbing & -wrenching delivery. They are STARS for a reason. The side character stories are sweet & supportive, a couple get some great development. The villain is truly despicable.
The story is a down-to-earth romance of 2 people from different classes. The pacing felt like a lazy river ride, mostly very smooth & languid, with some surprises.
@whoosh Oh good. I started this one and then paused it. PBG is just delightful to watch whenever he's onscreen.

@EllenInEdmonton @whoosh Thanks !
I remember seeing the title mentioned several times on forums, without reading it completely.
Even now I managed to not read your review here, but will come back on it when finished.
Finish I will, the slow comfortable pace, with delicious scenes and acting guarantees that .

@whoosh
Advancing slow but well.
Song Hye Kyo : I did not even recognise her from Full House...
Now I have so many people I try to follow and watch their older dramas. Female and male.
When time is so...
The music including singing is great .
Soothing but keeping attention up ! -

Soothing but keeping attention up !@whoosh Song Hye Kyo....First time I watched her in #kdrama #FullHouse, I was still working at the airport at a busy place. Reading info about her revealed she was also working as model, and had had photoshoots in Amsterdam. I saw more well-known persons passing by, or as customer. ( Also in my train-years) .Most Dutch. Chance of seeing Hallyu-idols was not excact zero. But knowing your place is a matter of respect. Staying celeb-proof so to say. I did not see Song Hey Kyo

Me too! I liked the FL character here much better than "Something in the Rain."
I liked how their thoughts & actions didn't always go the way I was expecting - made it feel fresh.

I LOVED the early episodes of SiTR, and the later episodes were interesting, although frustrating. It seemed like a realistic challenge. -

But yeah, the latter 1/3 is painful though very realistic AIUI in a SK context and very in character too.
