@root@total.necrophilia.win @YKantRachelRead@social.treehouse.systems I am happy to promote or engage with FOSS options; however, none of them are quite ready to deal with the average Discord user, yet. I don't feel like stating the obvious is 'doomerism' - just realism. I run a Matrix server. I have run both IRC channels and servers. I have run RocketChat and MatterMost servers in business environments. Chat applications live and die by their adoption, either by user or businesses. Everyone hate M$ Teams, but everyone uses it because business drives those decisions. Discord, however, was driven by user adoption. If I am missing some amazing FOSS option, please let me know, so I can pursue it.
