    @odin @marcoarment WOW! If Apple's introduction of their free password manager didn't kill 1Password, this likely will.

    @rickscully @marcoarment To be honest, this prompted me to look at some other options and Apple Passwords simply wouldn’t work for me. No option for storing credit cards, software licenses, or notes, and no system for tagging or grouping items make it a non-starter.

    That said, I’m sure it’s a great option for most people that just need to save a few passwords

      @marcoarment If only 1Password had heard about the economy of scale instead of AI.

        @odin @marcoarment Sorry it doesn't work for you, but I would wager that most people aren't using 1Password's deeper features as a power user like you does -- but that is true of most hardware and software.

        Personally, I like how easily Apple Passwords integrates with my authenticator app, and I am hoping more features are on the horizon!

          @marcoarment Using this to finally move over to Apple Passwords. Once the advertising on F1 cars started, I had a feeling trouble was ahead.

            @danieldk @buck @marcoarment really don’t like the ad path they’re going down. Their interfaces were so clean not long ago.

            Don’t need F1 The Movie clutter when checking sports scores.

              @marcoarment this is the sign I’ve been waiting for to go all in on Apple Passwords. I’m actually kinda glad. 1Password made it a really easy decision.

                @SamuraiSakura @abdelkader_boui @marcoarment I don't know where 40% came from? Let's not spread mistruth.

                Mine's going from AU$59.88 to $71.88. It's 20%. Not great but I just checked my invoice history and it hasn't increased since 2020. That's _under_ inflation per the RBA. $73.56 would have matched inflation.

                (I don't love the price rise, to be clear. But it's hardly usurious. Prices go up. What you gonna do.)

                  @johnnydecimal For me it is exactly 37.74% more. The old price was 31.80 Euro. The new price is 43.80 Euro. Which is an increase by 12 Euro. Not sure why you think I am spreading mistruth. @SamuraiSakura @marcoarment

                    @marcoarment A $12/year increase from $45 to $57 (before 15% sales tax). That’s a small 26% increase (if my maths is correct)

                      @Beltliner403 @abdelkader_boui @marcoarment or - 1Password customer. Thankfully I've migrated over to Apple Passwords (and to Keepass as a backup) long time ago. The quality of software and customer focus is not there anymore.

                                          @marcoarment They're "right-sizing" the price. There was a discrepancy between what they were getting and what they want to be getting.
