This is all of course in direct, flagrant defiance of the recent court injunction protecting the right of observers to peacefully observe.

I feel the need to stress, even though it should go without saying, that the person who was kidnapped out of their car was not obstructing or interfering. They were doing nothing illegal, and nothing wrong. They were part of a caravan following ICE at a safe distance, driving legally, not even stopping their crimes, not even slowing them down — just making sure their crimes were recorded.

Apparently (I wasn’t part of the group, got the report when I arrived on the scene) there was a caravan of multiple vehicles following ICE. Several ICE vehicles cut dangerously into the caravan and forced the observers’ cars to stop. That’s when they smashed the person’s window and took them.

It sounds like multiple people got video. I hope you don’t see it, for the safety of those whose faces might appear in the video. But I hope you believe me anyway. This is all really happening.

Meanwhile, we’re getting some really disturbing reports in neighborhood chats of ICE dumping injured detainees in parks. We no idea what the hell ICE is doing. This has happened in multiple parks on multiple days in different parts of the city: two confirmed, multiple others who may be part of the pattern. One of them had a fractured skull.

The temperature here has not been above freezing for over a week.

@inthehands It's starting to sound like there's a new tactic they're trying of posing as reps from Indivisible who want to know everything about how community organizing is happening. Either that or Indivisible is doing some asinine "outreach" that will do more harm than good.

God. I am so fucking angry. All of my love to the people of Minneapolis. Keep resisting. Keep protecting each other. Keep documenting & bearing witness. This is absolutely awful, but there is beauty & joy in the love & support I see people showing each other.
