@dragonfrog @britt well, there is somehow one thing I agree with in there: abolishing the senate. It does some good work and recent reforms to appointment have made it less gross, but we are one conservative majority away from it becoming an undemocratic patronage machine again.

It would be very easy for people to check out in frustration with this stuff and end up not voting, so this is my first of many reminders to everyone that not participating will *not* be viewed as a protest, nor will a low turn out convince them that the results are illegitimate or don’t constitute a mandate. The only way to take wind out of their sails is to deliver a sound and clear defeat. That will require *every* progressive, compassionate, clear-thinking Canadian in Alberta to show up and make their views known.
