You are allowed to find moments of joy, even in all the horror. Joy is not a prize for getting through it all, it is an important tool to *enable* us to get through this. Joy itself is an act of resistance, so look for the joys. Small ones, big ones-doesn't matter. Find them, embrace them, let them comfort you, let them fuel you.

@CosmicCollective That’s right, you’re not obligated to be miserable until the world is perfect.

@BototmnisShorter true that, and joy in itself is an important motivator to keep going, and help make things better.

Anyone who is feeling down in the dumps and blue and sad and helpless, please take a rapid response training and get yourself out there. You will feel better. You'll feel more alive than you've ever felt.

@FranceskaMann this is great for people that are able. It's also important to remember that not everyone is in the position to do that for a variety of reasons(disability being one of them), and that there are many other ways to support too.

Take a training and if you can't drive, there is a huge need for dispatchers and people plugging in data. There are important roles for everyone. All hands on deck.

@FranceskaMann again, not all people are able to do these things. Those that are able, sure. There are *many* ways to support

@FranceskaMann @CosmicCollective A larger point is that a person’s worth is not based on “what have you done for me lately” and living up to someone else’s idea of what you are and are not capable of.
Your fixation on one particular contribution is obscuring these larger, more important ideas.
