    I had an earlier post about municipalities leaving X and joining Mastodon and a thought occurred to me.
    Cities and towns could benefit from having their own instance running #Friendica - the closest #Fediverse equivalent to Meta/Facebook. It would allow them to have separate groups for neighborhoods or communities within their municipality, and integrate easily with other Fediverse apps. It would give them more control and focus for their communications.

      @ElbowsUpforDigitalSovereignty I was commenting the same on Reddit the other day, I was thinking that maybe instead of banning social media for minors, each school could run its own Mastodon instance. Students could get the benefit of social media in a safe and controlled environment
