Reminds me of a few years back…

During the winter months, a couple of older ladies would bring yarn to the farmers market. The yarn was from the wool from a small flock that they owned. They did the shearing, spinning and dying of the yarn. My wife liked their yarn and, every so often, would buy some (and then either barter with a neighbor to get it made into things or supply it to my mom so she could make Christmas gifts from it). My wife is a goth. She frequently requested dark shades of black. Eventually, the yarn-makers started offering skeins labeled "Donna's Soul": it was a very darkly dyed black.
