@driftini depends how it's being used, most most of the time you just need one piece

@niko@gts.niko.lgbt @driftini@wetdry.world late game it's absurdly cheap though. sand duper and a creeper or witch farm.

i guess it's a bit balanced by a sand duper being more useful for concrete usually (or the sand being used for bulk glass production.) and gunpowder being consumed by fireworks as well but. eh.

@driftini@wetdry.world @niko@gts.niko.lgbt if you do not have a sand duper you really are not late game IMO.

sand dupers are insanely useful and not super hard to build once you have access to the end.

@driftini @niko @eleanor@booping.synth.download also regardless you only need one piece for most farms as TNT dupers are the usual setup.

maybe 5 pieces or so in a decent sized tunnel bore but whatever.

sand is super easy, you get a good amount of gunpowder from chests while exploring and warding off creepers and ghasts. as long as you're not blowing em up. it's a pain to farm for but if you have a midgame use case for it it feels attainable at a fair price.

@ezra sand is undoubtedly not a problem, where it falls apart for me is the gunpowder cause I need 2 or 3 creepers' worth of that for one TNT block, and in the time it'd take me to get the materials I could just manually break 10 times the amount of blocks that would be blown up

admittedly I have never thought about TNT dupers even though I've seen them a couple times on yt, but in terms of purely intended mechanics TNT just feels super pricey for what you get out of it in mining

@solonovamax @driftini Fair. My simpleton onmidirectional cannon designs used to consume lots of TNT blocks. Nowadays you can probably build one with sticky pistons and save a lot of ammo.

It's fine, it's just that it's dynamite labeled as TNT (a completely different explosive) which vexes me to no end

@driftini im mainly annoyed by the fact it takes sand tbh
sand would suck as a binding agent. should be swapped for clay or something

@driftini it's okay but you should have the ability to make small explosives with 1 gun powder :3
