@Moaske @FlyPastRush @TheNovemberMan the oversized engine cans brought all kinds of issues but i was too invested in their install. un-kit option was pathetic. this forced the bottom fuselage downward about 6mm, around 10" to scale. all the gap was behind the tail boom which had to be butchered to fit as can be seen. also had to make a transition for the fuel dump. the chaff/flare dispensers (which un-kit had none) is old leftover PE that was available.

@Moaske @FlyPastRush @TheNovemberMan the moving pylons were abandoned at the outset. no thanks, un-kit. slotting the wings to allow them to be installed at final assembly worked for the most part. I lost about 10 degrees of sweep but oh well. fit is tight. wing gloves were a waste of time. they got too stiff and 80% had to be trimmed away. (3/?)

@Moaske @FlyPastRush @TheNovemberMan the landing gear. *sigh* the front gear is actually backwards. the support arm is on the wrong side of the gear strut. oops. landing lights were spares since un-kit declined to have them. the door actuators at the front are missing. the un-kit part was mangled on the sprue and I deemed it too difficult to build one. I did add some styrene for accuracy to the gear bay. gear doors and canoe are imperfect resin (4/?)

@Moaske @FlyPastRush @TheNovemberMan main gear was a huge issue. next to zero instructions for fit. added styrene to main bay for correct gear angle and fuselage clearance. speed brake door is resin. main gear door had to be cut in 2 pieces to look accurate with nowhere to install 1 piece. unacceptable. so my main gear door is in the gear deployment position. all resin wheels have metal pin reinforcements.

@Moaske @FlyPastRush @TheNovemberMan tailplanes had weak pins into irregular holes. I was worried about sag and yaw, so I put styrene tube over the pins and enlarged the fuselage holes to make them press fit and moveable. well worth that effort (6/?)

@Moaske @FlyPastRush @TheNovemberMan despite the countless hours to get them to fit and appear like they belong, I deem the resin exhausts a reluctant success. Bare Metal Foil is not my forte lol. (7/8)

@Moaske @FlyPastRush @TheNovemberMan and now un-kit sits on my flightline. thanks again to @FlyPastRush for the decals to allow me to re-use my squadron patch. UV resin saved this build. (9/9)

@canadianglen @Moaske @TheNovemberMan You put a ton of extra work into that Pig of a kit to bring it up a few notches for sure. Great looking display 👀 - Cheers CG🍻

@canadianglen @FlyPastRush @TheNovemberMan Had to treat myself to a new spray gun, cause the old one keeps giving me clogging nightmares and just general wear...
But do any of you guys know what that lower knob below the cup is supposed to do? (instructions are in Czech 😂)
