On another note, and I'll make this very brief because I've been an emotional mess, Monday morning is the time to call the vet. Esmeralda took a turn for the worse. She isn't doing okay. It's probably time to say goodbye. Labored breathing, pudgier tummy (could be cancer, if that's what she has), being uncomfortable and lethargic, not having an appetite, lungs sound weird, etc. It sounds like her lungs have filled up with fluid. She has asthma already. I can't stand the sight of my little baby obviously in distress and pain, but my vet's office isn't open on the weekends. It's been hell.
