Where my energy geeks at? Power came back on at 1.20 am, but the hob is giving us a ‘wrong voltage’ error, and the outage is still showing but due for fixing earlier tonight. Is it likely that we’ve been restored to lower power only?

@ygathgoch @ewenmcneill I’ve another friend who has been getting 180V when any load is placed on their power system. Usually indicates a not-complete-fix. Probably an unhappy transformer somewhere.

@ygathgoch @ewenmcneill a fair few devices won’t care (think power bricks, USB chargers and such) as they will be universal voltage. If you are getting incorrect voltage it’s something that Wellington Electeic normally wants to know about directly so maybe let them know. See pasted image for details and warnings.

@alex @ewenmcneill it’s a reclosure event, apparently we’re due for full restoration by midday. I’m turning off the NAS just in case we get another blip while they finish off
