I got the last Windows game I really cared about working through Linux a week ago, so I've taken my ROG Ally X and installed CachyOS on it and have it working like a Steam Deck would. I think it's time to do the same for the arcade machine (though running Attract Mode). Maybe I'll write up a blog on it if anyone would be interested?

This is one of those times where I kind of want to set up a declarative configuration so that maybe other people can use it as well for their own.

I may do it with decman: https://github.com/kiviktnm/decman?tab=readme-ov-file

@jay Congratulations! What game? What did you have to do to get it to work?

@Tekchip Mario Multiverse, it's an online Mario fangame much like the Mario Maker games but it is in closed beta and requires verification that you are in the correct server on Discord to be able to play. I had to install a Wine RPC app which will allow you to have the game you are playing through Wine showing up in Discord.

@jay I've never heard of this. Sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing what had to be done to make it work. I might give it a go as well.
