    Yesterday I indulged in one of my guilty pleasures. Yes, I rewatched "Saving Grace" from 2000 with the incomparable Brenda Blethyn.

    What a range this actor has! Not long before, she portrayed a very different, very shaky and broken woman in my intro to her of "Secrets & Lies". Here, she is strong, confident, resourceful, and full of oomph and vinegar. I am in awe of her talent.

    And what a fun show this is! Yeah, the subject matter may not be up to everyone's taste, but I can appreciate the whimsy and character growth. And the rest of the cast is chef's kiss, as is the filming location. Makes me dream I could visit Cornwall one day.

      @AncTreat5358 Cornwall is beautiful and so is Brenda's range.

      The last 15 years we've been treated to her on TV as a detective at the very opposite, and also beautiful, corner of England in the North East. Well worth a watch

        @naturepunk Nice!

        I've heard of Vera, but so far haven't been able to afford signing up for the BritBox streaming service so I can watch it. One day soon, especially after hearing your take on it!

          @naturepunk Hmmm, the price wasn't as out of range as I feared. Lots of British shows to watch now, including Vera!
