@astronomerritt No no, Mrs S is the mushy peas fan in our household. Personally they are up there with broccoli on my β€˜Food of the devil’ list! πŸ˜†

Love an onion ring or 2 though!

Enjoy & I hope that you manage to get some sleep tonight!

@astronomerritt I would give one of my kidneys for a good chipper around here. I'm starved of decent fish and chips.

@MAJ1 Yes! You are objectively correct. Onion rings are always superior to mushy peas.

(I do like broccoli though πŸ˜…)

And thank you! I will try.

@macpsych That’s devastating. Are you in one of those areas of London where all the fish and chips places are pretentious as hell and not very good? Friend of mine has complained of something like that.

We have one good chippy and one good Indian and that’s it, but I consider us extremely fortunate.

@astronomerritt how fast do they have to run to keep the malt vinegar from making the fish all manky before you eat it?

@astronomerritt Yeah, none of them specialise in fish and chips. Most just do fried chicken, kebabs and burgers. Fish is an afterthought.

@astronomerritt Oh and they're not pretentious. They're the kind of places where they'll discover new forms of life behind the fridge....

@dave They don’t add it for delivery, you have to add your own! Probably to avoid the manky fish problem.
