While the French are raiding X over child porn, here in Ireland where X has its Eurorpean HQ, the Gardaí are having tea and biscuits, and after that sure it'd be nearly lunch

@ronanmcd child sexual abuse. There is no 'child porn'
Children cannot consent
Sex requires consent
Sexual material involving children is abuse.

CSAM@noodlemaz with respect that's not quite true. Not all things designated pornography are consensual, or even legal. Child pornography is the given name of a legal offense.
And additionally in this case designating it as abuse could in fact be an open gate to a defense case; with generated images of a person who doesn't exist no specific child was necessarily harmed, therefore they could argue no abuse took place -

I guess my question is, is legal wording always appropriate for the situation?
People use 'innocent til proven guilty' all the time, which is actively harmful, though it should only apply in the courtroom.I understand your point on the generative aspect, so will consider further.
But in general I would advocate for media and everyday conversation to avoid 'sex' and 'porn' as overall I think it does more harm.
