it has been 0️⃣ days since I had to send a corporation a nastygram about disrespecting my “reduce motion” and “do not autoplay videos” accessibility settings

@whitequark I assume they almost never do anything about any one complaint in isolation, but if I don’t send the complaint, it can’t count towards “we’re getting a lot of complaints about…”

@whitequark @0xabad1dea ive had a lot of success with everyone ive contacted for improving accessibility, at least for apps that have been updated in the past few years
majority of apps on our phone support this and is one of the few reasons why we have to use iphone because the android equivalents of accessibility settings we need are trash -

@0xabad1dea @whitequark i always hope i can make a complaint that lets somebody on the other end say "see!" and then be allowed to fix it

improving ios apps one app at a time
oh and everyone on android we've tried to report major accessibility fails to incl aosp and google? no reply or #wontfix every time.. -

android honestly feels more like a tech demo than an actual accessible os -

@0xabad1dea Mastodon seems to be an offender now. No autoplay gifs or whatever seems to at least sometimes be ignored when they're inside a quoted toot.
