Me and my imposter syndrome: "Should I start a business to help orgs migrate to open source solutions? I know all the tech, communities and apps, I've built platforms, I'm involved with OS projects at an EU level, I've done actual migrations, I know the financials... nah surely that can't be enough useful experience."

A lady on Linkedin: "I moved my email to Protonmail today and I'll try out LibreOffice this weekend. You can now hire me as your Big Tech Migration Coach ๐Ÿ˜ƒ" (and good for her lol)

@Gina This is a huge problem people who barely sratched the surface think they can and do teach others without any self-awareness

@Gina I think that's an excellent idea and there would be a market out there. You have experience of large deployments and the real life problems companies (currently deeply embedded in Microsoft Office) might face and addressing their concerns.

This is a very different proposition from persuading Uncle Harry to write a letter using Libreoffice ๐Ÿ™‚

No joke, this lady has inspired me. "For this week I'm going to research LibreOffice." She can be hired right now. The heck am I doing with all my experience ๐Ÿ˜…

@Gina I remember our accountants moving us over to Xero, then sitting down with my partner to show her how to use it (I try to stay out of the accounts myself!), and after about a 30 minute session, genuinely asking her if she'd be open to them sending other clients in for her to teach because she clearly knows what she's doing now ๐Ÿ˜‚

@Gina If you've never seen this skit of Adam Driver playing an oil baron at career day, it resonates with the theme of these posts.
